A while ago, we inducted (reinducted, I guess) another member into our group of homosexual love - Roger, friend of Ilhanicus. Lol. A few weeks ago, we were discussing the possibility of starting up an RPG. From what I had heard from various Podcasts, Pathfinder was the bee's knees. Roger and I decided to split the cost to get the rule book, and supplement it with various online resources. What this has lead to is our first real dive into a tabletop RPG. Fortunately enough, Taylor has been playing DnD for the past year now so he is relatively familiar with the rules. Furthermore, most of the rules focus around combat and character progression - allowing everyone to get into the system rather easily as its pretty much just acting and rolling some dice.
The party breakdown, after our character creation is as follows:
Jawn - Durlas, the Elf Rogue (pretty much Zevran from Dragon Age, complete with bisexual overtones)
The Boy - Kez, the Human Ranger (hunter of the undead, and jailbait for Durlas)
Taylor - Orodow, the Human Sorceror (complete with trollface alignment)
Ilhanicus - Eddard, the Human Fighter (lol Game of Thrones)
Roger - Rhah Khan Jin'Do, the Dwarf druid (not only does he have a Jedi name, but its pronounced Rock On)
With possibly special guest appearances by:
Halz - Carys, the Gnome Fighter (with the best statline out of the entire cast of characters)
I'll be GMing 'Hollow's Last Hope' tomorrow just to get into the system. Taylor and Roger have a little more experience with the Pathfinder system, so their rules knowledge should be a great help to my first attempt at GMing. We sort of agreed to rotate DM duties each session, but we'll see how everyone feels about it after a go each. I predict I'll eventually be the 'main DM' for the most part, seeing as how I'm the loudest and most comfortable talking my ass off. I wouldn't mind this, as after looking over a few of the published adventures I came to the conclusion that I shouldn't have an issue keeping everyone entertained.
Here's to seeing how many party members Durlas can sleep with and scouring chests for booty. And gold.
